Infographic: RAW versus Jpeg

Perhaps you are still using the Jpeg setting in your camera. This might be easy and convenient, but you are lossing lots of image information. How much? Well, your Jpeg file will contain about 1/4000 of the original color data. This infographic shows what you are lossing shooting Jpeg compared to RAW.

As you can see here, you are lossing much of the available image data. It might take some extra effort in post processing, but with programs like Lightroom it will not take up as much of your time as you might think. You will end up with better photos and that is what you want, right?
