Kelby launces iPad Magazine on lighting

Scott Kelby, known for his educational books on post processing and of course the World Wide Photo Walk, launched a digital magazine for the iPad last Wednesday. It is called 'Light It Magazine' and focuses on lighting.

The magazine is scheduled to be released eight times a year and the first release can be downloaded for free right now. It contains 50 pages of lighting goodness. Next issues will be sold for 2.99 dollar. Kelby Media isn't completely new at publishing magazines; they already publish Layers and Photoshop User Magazine.

Not everyone is happy with the choice to publish this digital magazine only on the iPad. They got a lot of replies from iPad-less people asking for a PDF, ePub or HTML5 version. Android users would also like to see this app coming to their devices. In the video below Scott Kelby promotes the new Light It Magazine.

You can download the magazine for free here.

Just downloaded the first Light It Magazine. The 359 MB download took less than 2 minutes. First impression is very good! Great quality images and video and the articles by or about (among others) Joe McNally, Jeremy Cowart, Zack Arias, Scott Kelby (of course) and Matt Kloskowski look great.

Even the smallest image in an article can be blown up to full-screen.
Time for some reading!
