When I made my decision between a Nikon 900D and the corresponding Canon at the time. I was running with Canon because their point and shoots worked very well of which I had 2 previously. Researched for about 3 months and both came out surprsingly even. So I decided to run on this past experience until I came on technical data that stated the Canon was good for 50K pics/internal movements and Nikon 100K. I went for quality in the build. The Nikon has performed superbly.

I think both brands make perfectly good cameras. You can't go wrong with either one. I'm still using my Nikon D90 and loving it. vrolijk
