There's been a war going on between Canonians and Nikonians for years. Your either a fan of the one or the other, there's no way in between. To settle the dispute on which camera is better, the Dutch consumer website Beste Product have created a infographic with the final battle!
The conclusion? Canon wins, barely. I suppose most Nikonians won't agree, so let the fighting continue in the comments below!

When I made my decision between a Nikon 900D and the corresponding Canon at the time. I was running with Canon because their point and shoots worked very well of which I had 2 previously. Researched for about 3 months and both came out surprsingly even. So I decided to run on this past experience until I came on technical data that stated the Canon was good for 50K pics/internal movements and Nikon 100K. I went for quality in the build. The Nikon has performed superbly.

I think both brands make perfectly good cameras. You can't go wrong with either one. I'm still using my Nikon D90 and loving it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that first line chart incorrect? The text says that Cannon has the advantage but shows Nikon on top.
@S; it's a bit strangly put indeed. But they show the scores of two recent cameras while they used they avarage score over the last years for all cameras. That's why Canon wins that first round.
